About Us
Historic bar located in the heart of the city
Chuck Berry, Billie Holiday, Marvin Gaye. B.B. King, Tina Turner, James Brown. These are a few names from a long list of people who have preformed at this bar many years ago. Club Waziema is an SF historical landmark and one of the oldest jazz bars in the city. Originally opened in the 1950s as "Club Morocco" by Mr and Mrs Robinson. This bar has housed many great performers and carries a legacy as one of the best jazz bars during that time. Club Morocco was closed in 1978 and opened by Nebiat Tesfazgi and Giday Beshue in 1999. Come celebrate the legacy of this bar with us every night and keep the history of Divisadero alive.
